Marine Corps Marathon – #BlueMile – Volunteer Opportunity
The Blue Mile is more than just a part of the race—it is a place of remembrance, hope, and community, where we come together to honor those who have given so much and to lift each other as we move forward. For me personally, it is an honor to stand at the end of the #BlueMile as the #LastFlagOnTheLeft. I reflect and understand that every face and each flag is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made. It is a privilege to be part of this tribute. Being there to encourage runners, offer a high-five, a hug, or share a moment of reflection is an honor I cherish.
The 2026 wear blue Tribute Mile at the Marine Corps Marathon will be on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Below is the available information:
What: Tribute wear blue Mile
When: Sunday, 25 October at 5:00 a.m. (It is imperative that those driving arrive BEFORE 5:30 AM. ALL ROADS CLOSE NO LATER THAN 5:30 AM.
Where: Hains Point, Washington, DC
The GPS coordinates for check-in are: 38°52'07.7"N 77°01'43.3"W

All volunteers should register so that any updates will be emailed directly to them. If they do not have vehicle information, just add "rental" to the form. Registering also ensures that there will be enough T-Shirts, Food and Drinks for our volunteers.
Please know that due to construction in the DC region – especially on Hains Point and West Potomac Park. We are currently still waiting for final parking details, however, this will be sent out as soon as it is provided.
