Welcome to the Police Emerald Society of the Washington DC Area (PES)!
The PES was founded in 1986. We are an International non-profit cultural association comprised of sworn active and retired Police personnel and associate members of Gaelic decent, who proudly promote their Celtic heritage. Our organization currently has over one thousand members. We are charter members of the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies whose primary objective is to unite Irish-American groups under a unified organization.
We have monthly meetings and numerous functions a year; St. Patrick's Day Parade & Wreath Laying Ceremony (After Parade Party), Hospitality Nights (May-During Police Week), Baseball Night (September), Fall Beach Fling (October) and a Christmas Party (December).
